ABOUT US
Verda Directors is a professional group of experienced non-executive directors, who meet to facilitate structured discussions on topical strategic, economic, environmental, digital and social governance issues of mutual interest. This enables us to share our experience and insights in a way that enhances our own contributions to board discussions. The group provides a confidential network of support based on our philosophy of helping the next generation of non-executive women.
Members of our group have diverse appointments, holding Director and Chair roles on listed, commercial, government, international and not-for-profit boards.
Our collective experience and expertise span over 30 industry sectors, including banking, superannuation and financial services, telecommunications, technology and cyber security, infrastructure (including critical infrastructure and Systems of National Significance), circular economy, defence, aviation, healthcare, aged care, utilities, property, resources and mining, agriculture, retail and wholesale, manufacturing, aviation, transport, education, recreation, tourism, arts, consumer services, professional services, media services, international development, and the humanitarian and social services sectors.

OUR NAME
The name Verda originates from the Spanish language and conveys the meaning of truth. The etymology of Verda can be traced back to the Late Latin term veritas, which also denotes truth or veracity. Over time, this name has taken on various forms and spellings in different cultures, such as Verde and Verdah, but its core meaning has remained constant.
In modern times, the name Verda has retained its association with truth and honesty. Its usage is not limited to a specific region or culture, making it a versatile name that resonates with people from diverse backgrounds. Verda serves as a reminder of the importance of truth, integrity and authenticity.
